It's My Party....
Given that Acorn could arrive any moment mum and dad decided to have a small gathering for my first birthday rather than an extraviganza.
Mum made some party invites and emailed them to all my friend's mums and dads.
We ended up with 6 of my friends (aged 2 months to 16 months) and their parents which was just the right number for our loungeroom.
It was funny as the computer room was converted into a buggy/pram parking lot. It was very interesting to see the variety you can get (and no two were the same).
Mum made a lamington birthday cake, monkey balls, fairy bread, etc. Cooked some sausage rolls, onion barji's and vegetable balls. We also had some chips, cheese balls, doritos, mini donuts, custard slices, coke a cola, lemonade and cordial.
As usual there was too much so we'll be eating the remainders for weeks.
I was given lots of lovely pressents which we opened after everyone sang Happy Birthday to me.
That's a shark backpack on the left (for our trip back to Oz at christmas).
Mum even got a box of chocolates for organising the party.
We gave everyone a party bag to take home. It contained a little book, a baby snack bar, some lollies (including lolly pops), balloons and a small bottle of bubbles (with bubble wand).
