Autumn Adventures
Today it was very windy and very cold but sunny so off we went to Battersea Park.
As we wondered around mum and dad encouraged me to run through the leaves.
I must admit that this was particularly fun as all the leaves were very dry and crunchy due to the dry weather we've had.
In some spots I did get out of my depth but I managed to get out again.

Lets Go To The Beach
That was dad's response to mum's question of what shall we do today.
I for one totally agree with dad however, it is the middle of November, in England, and it's terrible weather. Despite this, we went.
Mum sorted out all of our gear (including complete changes of clothes, rain coats, umbrellas for all four of us) and food (snacks for the car trip there and back as well as at the beach and Alex's bottles) whilst dad got us dressed.

We had lunch and then headed off to Eastbourne.
To make the trip go faster I had my car snacks (peas, corn, chicken slices, tomartoes, cucumber, cheese, capsicam, raisins, orange and banana salad combo) before napping.
It was about 2pm when we arrived and we'd only have a couple of hours before sunset but that didn't put off my parents who were enthusiastically decamping us from the car.
It wasn't raining. :)
Dad was in charge of me (or so they thought) and decided I should wear my shark backpack (the one with the reins). Mum was looking after Alex so she popped him in my old winter all in one suit and into the baby carrier to keep him warm and safe.
We headed straight for the pier where we grabbed some fish and chips for lunch.

Normally, this would be a horrible idea however, they didn't have anything in the warmer and had to cook everything whilst we waited. Other people weren't happy that they had to wait but we were happy to get freshly cooked food instead of stuff which had sat for hours.
As there wasn't any high chairs I decided to sit on a normal chair to have my food. This was ok but I think mum might have found it annoying since I kept trying to hop off and wonder around the shop. Dad didn't appreciate it either when I decided to decorate the floor with unwanted morsals. ;)
After lunch we wondered along the pier which had an archade, several 'seaside' shops, a tea house and finally a night club.
That's right a night club! :?
Now I was staggering and constantly vearing close to the edge of the pier as I was excited about the water but can you imagine at closing (in the weee hours of the morning and potentially in the rain) a intoxicated horde managing to successfully negotiate the passage back to shore without loosing one or two over the edge? What about those that wanted to pee (don't you hate hearing water noises at that point?) as there were no toilets? Least if you were feeling seasick you could just go over the side.
On a more pleasant note we discovered the observatory at the end of the pier which had a clock so we tried to take some pics.
There were also some people fishing. After inspecting their stuff I concluded that they weren't very good. Not a fish in sight.
From there we went onto the beach.

It was hard work negotiating all the rocks to get to the waters edge. This is a pebble beach so no sand!
Despite this, I found lots of interesting stuff but mum wouldn't let me put it into my mouth.
I also chased a couple of waves. Mum bought spare clothes (for me and dad).
No I didn't fall in!!!
When it got dark we went back to the car and headed home.
