Shop Till You Drop!
Mum and dad took me to the supermarket and as a special treat let me sit in a trolley - in the big boy seat at the front of the trolley.
Ohhh. It was fun.
I got to sit upright for the entire time within reaching distance of dad whilst they kept putting stuff in the back.
The whole time I just kept chatting to dad and looking at all the people putting food in their trolleys.
A couple of times dad got a little too close to the items in the isle shelves; this allowed me to reach out and grab them. :)
He soon wised up though. :(
Then we were at the check out and one of the help desk staff started to chat to me. I liked the attention so gave her a big smile. She then told mum and dad that I was a very cute baby.
I didn't want to get out of the trolley to go home.

Nursery
With dad's work being unpredictable at the moment they've decided that it might be a good idea for me to go to one of the local nursery's whilst mum is working.
I think its been harder on dad (he was hoping to spend some time with me). Mum and I have spent quite a bit of time together so she has had a bit of adjustment as well.
There is a special baby room (all under 1 year old) where I am enjoying all the activities and playing with the other babies (there's only 5 of us at the moment).
So far I've been going for a few mornings as this is the settling in process.
From next week I'll be going full time on Monday's, Thursdays and Friday's.
In May I'll go to full time until mum goes on leave in August.

20 Week Scan
Dad and I took mum and Acorn for their 20 week scan.
And guess what?!
They told us what sex my sibling is going to be.
Can you guess?
(drum roll errupts)
That's right!
I'm going to have a little brother!
Oh what fun we are going to have together.
Mum says Acorn can wear all my baby clothes she's kept as they are the right colors and we have lots.

We got to see Acorn inside mummy's tummy. It was fascinating, so much so, I didn't take my eyes off the nurse (I was making sure she wasn't hurting mummy).

The Wheels On The Pram....
Now that Acorn is coming to stay with us in August mum and dad have been searching for a new pram.
The current pram only fits me so we'll need one which has two seats as I'll be too small to walk around everywhere (even if mum gets an attachable 'buggy board' for me to stand on).
Mum and dad have had a look at several types and have decided on a tandem (that's effectively one child slightly over the top of the other in a line) as a posed to a side by side. The later version is extremely wide and cannot fit on busses nor down many isles in the supermarket. Despite the side by side often being too wide for the London footpaths many people have them.
Dad has now purchased a ICandy Pear (same brand as the single pram we have) as it seemed the best fit for our requirements:
- getting on/off busses,
- long walks across various terrain,
- not excessively heavy (even without two babies in), and
- can be made into a single seater (once I get insistent on walking and can have a buggy board attached for when my legs get tired).
It is heavier than the single prams but that's due to it's sturdy frame (other brands seemed less robust). Mum and dad thought this was a plus given the potential for Acorn and me to be little terrors.
Its also harder for me to get out of (just in case I decide to go for a wonder). Some people think children letting themselves out of prams is a positive (mum's not so sure).
We are currently using the pram in it's single seating function until Acorn arrives.

Getting Bigger By The Day
Today I went to see the midwife and she weighted and measured me.
I am now 69 cm (2ft 4in) and 8.42 kg (18lb 19oz).
I am in 50th percentile for both measurements. That means I'm average but am not loosing weight.
Mum and dad are also getting stricter on my weaning. They are now feeding me twice a day - brunch and afternoon tea with solids.
Last night I grabbed a piece of lemon off mum's plate and duly began to eat it. I didn't complain and munched for a good 5 mins. I think mum got more of a shock that I didn't. :)
